South Sawyer Glacier. Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

South Sawyer Glacier, Tracy Arm Fjord, AK. (2013)

The Tracy Arm Fjord is about 30 miles long, flanked by massive cliffs and dense forest, revealing the occasional waterfall. This 6 mile long glacier is actively calving, meaning that chunks of the glacial ice continue to break off into the water with a thunderous splash. It is bold scenery up here.
